About Us
The TG11 Project was founded in 2024 following the passing of Tim Goedde, our beloved family member and friend. This organization was created to honor Tim's life, continue his legacy, and hopefully make a lasting and perpetual impact by supporting causes that were near and dear to his heart. Tim was a joyful, loving soul who lived a busy life until he became ill in early 2023. His condition rapidly declined in early April and he lost his short battle against stomach cancer on May 2, 2023.
Tim was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana. He was a multi-sport athlete at Reitz Memorial High School. He chose the number 11 for all of his sports uniforms. This continued into college and beyond as he enjoyed many different intramural and recreational sports. In remembrance, his football coach shared that although Tim was one individual - he understood that he was more importantly part of the 11 man team. That team spirit and desire to bring others together for a common good was part of what endeared Tim to so many.
Tim was a Purdue alumnus and a founding member of the Alpha chapter of ZBT Fraternity at Purdue University. He most recently was employed by Washing Systems Inc. and made his home in Carmel, Indiana. Tim also had a deep passion for music. He was a naturally talented musician and was able to recreate his favorite rock songs, movie themes, and show tunes by ear.
Tim Goedde was a passionate sports fan, golfer, friend and general lover of life.
Our Mission
Our goal is twofold. We will support those programs and organizations that were a big part of Tim’s life: his alma maters Reitz Memorial High School and Purdue University, Zeta Beta Tau, youth sports and music programs, to name a few. Secondly, we will support programs that provide assistance to individuals and families struggling with cancer and mental health issues. We aim to promote awareness, education, and access to resources to improve the well-being of those affected by these health challenges. Through collaboration and advocacy, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can seek help and recovery.
