2024 Impact Report for the TG11Project

What is the TG11 Project?

The TG11 Project was founded in 2024 following the passing of Tim Goedde, our beloved family member and friend. This organization was created to honor Tim's life, continue his legacy, and hopefully make a lasting and perpetual impact by supporting causes that were near and dear to his heart. Tim was a joyful, loving soul who lived a busy life until he became ill in early 2023. His condition rapidly declined in early April and he lost his short battle against stomach cancer on May 2, 2023.

Tim was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana. He was a multi-sport athlete at Reitz Memorial High School. He chose the number 11 for all of his sports uniforms. This continued into college and beyond as he enjoyed many different intramural and recreational sports. In remembrance, his football coach shared that although Tim was one individual - he understood that he was more importantly part of the 11 man team. That team spirit and desire to bring others together for a common good was part of what endeared Tim to so many.

Tim was a Purdue alumnus and a Charter member of the Alpha chapter of Zeta Beta Tau(ZBT) Fraternity at Purdue University. He most recently was employed by Washing Systems Inc. and made his home in Carmel, Indiana. Tim also had a deep passion for music. He was a naturally talented musician and was able to recreate his favorite rock songs, movie themes, and show tunes by ear.

Tim Goedde was a passionate sports fan, golfer, friend and general lover of life.

In the loss of Tim Goedde, many have come together to honor his spirit and bring people together as he did. One of his best friends called him the “Glue”.

A Message from our President on 2024

Activities and 2025 Proposed Events

We have had several events this year. Two of these were associated with generating funds to give to groups that Tim supported. One of these was the Kipplee’s Give Back night in Evansville hosted by Matt Klees. Another was the Tim Goedde Classic at Eagle Creek golf course in Indianapolis hosted by Matt Parrot. During the Tim Goedde Classic, special volunteers ran a lemonade stand for Riley Hospital and drink cart drivers collected tips for Reitz Memorial HS. We also had three other events that were just for fun and awareness. They were the Indy Mini, Purdue’s Hammer Down on Cancer event, and a tailgate party at Purdue. In 2024, through the support and generosity of family and friends, we gave back $22,400 to four different groups.  In summary, I have to say ‘WOW’ because it was fun and the efforts yielded great returns. You can see the financial details toward the end of the report.

As we move forward into 2025, we are hoping to bring activities closer to the Evansville, Carmel/Indianapolis, and West Lafayette areas. In addition to the Tim Goedde Classic that is scheduled for August 2nd at Eagle Creek Golf course in Indianapolis, we are looking at another potential give back with a restaurant and a Pickle ball event on May 17, 2025 in Evansville. We will keep our events tab up to date on the website TG11Project.org.

These events continue to be part of the healing process, and as we come together, we are learning to be part of the bigger team. Come join us as a sponsor, a volunteer, and/or a participant. You will have fun and meet some great people. Many people have come forward to be more involved in many ways. This makes me happy. Come join us and be part of the Glue.

TG11 Project A Year in Review

May 5, 2024

We started by joining forces at the Indy Mini on May 5, 2024. This was more of a FUNRaiser and
opportunity to raise awareness - but so thankful to all those who joined in the fun.

Kipplee’s Gives Back hosted by Matt Klees

May 11,2024

The Kipplee’s night was special because many people came in to say Hi or relax. One of the best was
to staying and listening to Tim’s friends tell stories I never heard.
Special thanks to Matt Klees for the great food, a fun place to gather, and a generous donation.

Tim Goedde Classic hosted by Eagle Creek & Matt Parrot
July 27, 2024 (Tim’s Birthday)

The Tim Goedde Classic golf outing is great because Tim’s “Hole in One” at Eagle Creek story
gets shared every year. That story will never get old. It is also very special to hear from the
participants and volunteers that the event was so much fun and they want to do it again next
year. The next one is August 2nd, 2025 at Eagle Creek in Indianapolis.

Hammer Down for Cancer hosted by PICR

It was an honor to partner with Brandt Patz and his team to be part of the Purdue Institute for
Cancer Research. We met many great people.

Tail gate party hosted by TG11 Project

We had a great time prior to the Purdue and Penn State game. Approximately 40 people
attended on a beautiful day. We met some new people and told some great stories. We also
met some current brothers from ZBT.

2024 Financial Support

Since Tim’s passing in 2023 from Stomach cancer, we have been associated with Cancer
research. We also cannot forget the loyalty he demonstrated to Reitz Memorial HS, Purdue
University, and ZBT, where he was a Charter member. In addition, Tim enjoyed golf and
supporting the National Blood Clot Alliance. This foundation aligns with Flanagan-Taylor
families in remembrance of Mr. Jim Flanagan. The TG11 project is requesting a portion of the
money that was collected in honor of Tim by the Purdue Institute for Cancer Research be
given to the National Blood Clot Alliance at stoptheclot.org.
As the TG11Project.org moves forward, we are considering all of the groups and activities
that were close to Tim. In addition to golf, he was supportive of youth sports and music, and
we look forward to fundraising for organizations that do the same.

We are grateful for a successful 2024 and looking forward to 2025!
